bvrAUV's hovercraft mimics the actions and autonomy of Anchovy. It's ability to fly allows the team to add too or otherwise edit the code and controls of the sub without endangering it by placing it in the water before it is ready. Our usage of the hovercraft also allows the team to not only grow their knowledge of the code but also to be able to better collaborate. While the hardware team works on the actual mechanics of the sub, the software team is able to continue collaborating side-by-side on the code.
